Position: chief business development manager

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat, India

Position Overview

As the Chief Business Development Manager, you will spearhead both B2B and B2C growth initiatives within PrimeIdea Ventures. This role involves enhancing our agency distribution network, increasing our retail customer base, and leading a dynamic team towards achieving strategic business goals. You will act as a separate strategic business unit, utilizing services from PrimeIdea Ventures to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agency Channel and B2B Sales Recruitment: Develop and execute strategies to recruit and onboard new agency leaders and agents, expanding the company’s distribution network. Foster high-quality recruitment and create supportive platforms for partner success.
  • Retail Customer Engagement: Enhance engagement strategies for individual retail customers, ensuring they receive personalized investment advice and services that meet their financial goals.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead the business development team, setting clear objectives and developing their skills. Regularly review performance, establish goal sheets, and ensure the achievement of these goals through effective mentorship and resources.
  • Strategic Business Unit Management: Operate as a standalone unit within the organization, making strategic decisions that align with overall corporate goals while ensuring operational autonomy.
  • Market Analysis and Client Acquisition: Conduct thorough market research to identify and capitalize on new customer segments and business opportunities. Lead client acquisition efforts by developing tailored proposals and negotiating contracts.
  • Partnership and Brand Enhancement: Build and maintain strategic partnerships and enhance the company’s market presence through active participation in industry events and forums.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years in a leadership role within business development, specifically in financial services, with proven success in agency channel management and retail customer engagement.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills are crucial. Must have a strong ability to manage multiple projects, understand market dynamics, and drive strategic decisions.

Compensation

A competitive salary package ranging from ₹400,000 to ₹600,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus performance-based incentives.
